first little harvest

There are a few nice things in the fridge at the farm stand this week!

We just love Red Russian kale - it makes the yummiest kale chips!

We also have bunches of rainbow chard, both greens are $2/bunch.

My favorite thing in the fridge right now are these super sweet heads of cabbage! So good shredded on tacos with some cilantro and onion.

The giant heads of romaine are always a big seller - just $1 each - and big enough for a couple salads.

We can never keep enough eggs on the shelf.  I know it can be frustrating to come for a dozen only to find that we are sold out, but keep trying! We stock what we have and they sell fast so you just have to be in the right place at the right time.  It feels like such a triumph when you do get them, and these eggs are so worth it!

The first zucchini and summer squash will be ready to pick soon, and I am counting down the days until CSA starts and looking forward to my first bite of my favorite - SANTA ROSA PLUMS!!!
